A high-pressure misting system, engineered into the architecture, drops the working temperature of a covered outdoor room by 10–15°F. The patio is usable in August. The room is not a sauna.
The Premise
August is a room.
On the Gulf Coast, outdoor living is theoretical from June to September unless it is engineered. Shade alone is not enough. Fans help. But the only system that moves the working temperature far enough is mist.
Scapes installs high-pressure misting (1000 PSI) for fine atomization — the droplets evaporate before they reach the floor. You feel the temperature drop, not the damp. The zones are built into the architecture: pergola perimeter, outdoor kitchen line, dining table. Tied to a controller, scheduled on a thermostat.
The system is winterized in November, recommissioned in April. Filters and nozzles are cleaned by the maintenance crew on a quarterly visit.
