Scapes mows by species: St. Augustine to 3.5 inches, Zoysia to 1.75, Bermuda to 1.25 — adjusted seasonally, never below the third leaf. The blade is a sharpened blade, every Monday morning.
The stripe is not decoration. It is the proof the cut was directional, the deck was floated, and the operator was paying attention.

The rhythm of the year
Weekly through the leaves and into the holidays — a property should look right when people are coming to it. The first of the year we drop to every other week, and pick weekly back up when it starts growing again.
