We treat private information the way we treat the keys to a client's property — quietly, with care, and never as something to give away.
Why this page exists
Every site has to have one of these. So here is ours, in plain language.
We use your information to talk to you about your project. That is it. You tell us about your yard, we write back about your yard. Nothing else happens with it.
Everything else — the newsletter, the seasonal offers, the reserved grow lists, whatever we are selling that month — is opt in. You have to ask for it. Want to stay in the loop? Good, we would love that. Do not want to be bothered? I get it, and you will not be.
We are trying to hustle up some business, and we would rather tell you honestly what is on sale than chase you around the internet to do it. That is the whole angle.
What we collect
When you submit a form on this site — the intake form, careers, a Reserve, an email list you asked to join — we collect what you typed: your name, email, phone, property location, and a short note about the project. Forms run on Netlify Forms.
When you browse, our hosting provider records standard server logs: IP address, browser, time of visit, pages requested. Those roll off after 30 days. We use Plausible for site analytics — privacy-first, no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal identifiers.
No cookies are set anywhere on this site. A few things are remembered in your own browser's local storage so the site behaves — whether you turned the sound off, where you left a conversation with Aquarius. That never leaves your device, and clearing your browser clears it.
How we use it
To write back about your project, and to do the work. That is the only use.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it. We do not trade it. We do not run remarketing pixels, and there are no social-network tracking tags on this site. If you find us through an ad, that ad does not follow you home.
Opting in, and opting back out
Marketing from us is opt in, always. We do not add you to a list because you filled out an intake form or asked a question. If you want the seasonal notes, the reserved grow lists, or word of what we are running, you have to ask for it — sign up on the page that offers it, or just tell us.
And you can leave any time. Reply to anything we send, or email the studio, and you are off the list that day. No hoops, no exit survey, no "are you sure?" If you tell us to stop, we stop.
Where it lives
Form submissions live in our Netlify inbox and in Jobber, our project management system. Both are access-controlled to studio staff. Backups are encrypted and retained for one year.
Audio recordings, drone footage, and on-site photography — when we capture them at your property — are stored under your project number and never published without written consent.
Your rights
You can request a copy of everything we have on file for you. You can request that we delete it. You can correct anything that is wrong. Email TheStudio@gotscapes.com and we will respond within five business days.
Children
This site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under thirteen.
Updates
When this policy changes, the effective date at left changes with it. If a change affects how we actually use your information, we will say so plainly here rather than bury it.
