Programs · Grow With Me™
Because childhood
deserves roots.
A single, hand-selected tree, planted in second spring — established enough to thrive, young enough to grow alongside the child it is planted for.
The Premise
We do not plant trees.
We plant time.
Childhood is not a series of milestones. It is a quiet, steady, unmistakable accumulation — kindergarten, the first lost tooth, the first sleepover, the first heartbreak, the first time the car pulls out of the driveway with them behind the wheel.
Grow With Me™ honors that journey the way it actually happens — not in isolated, fleeting moments, but in cumulative growth. Each year, the tree is taller. Each year, the canopy is wider. Each year, the photograph in front of the tree is different and the same.
This is less about planting a tree, and more about giving time itself a tangible, permanent place to land and be observed.
I blinked.
My children grew up while I was building a business I hoped would give them a better life.
If I could have anything back, it wouldn't be another meeting.
It would be another afternoon.
So plant a tree the year they're born. Stand beside it every year. Neither of them will stop growing — but one will always remind you how quickly the other did.
— J Core, Founder · Still in the dirt
The Anatomy
One tree.
One lifetime.
Grow With Me™ is built around a single, hand-selected specimen — and the structured care that ensures it outlives the planting.
Hand-selected by a certified arborist.
We choose for proven health, inherent resilience, and suitability to the site. The Grow With Me tree is not from a catalog — it is selected the way a portrait subject is selected, against the property and the family it is being planted for.
Sized to thrive, sized to grow with.
Established enough to survive the first season unattended; young enough that the canopy will visibly change every year for the next twenty. Installed to the same standards as every Scapes specimen — soil amended, drainage cut, irrigation set.
The first year is the year that decides.
An arborist returns at month four and month ten. Soil tested. Watering adjusted. Pruning, if any, performed in person. The first year is the year the tree either takes hold or it doesn't. We do not leave it to chance.
A small, considered piece of brass.
A discreet ground marker, set permanently at the base of the trunk — the tree and the name it carries, cut into brass. Not a plaque, not a billboard. Forever after, anyone who walks past knows what this tree is and who it was named for.
A photograph, every year, on the same day.
On the planting anniversary, someone stands where they stood last year — same composition, same framing, same light if you can hold it. Your photographer or ours. We’ll remind you when the day comes around, the same way we come back for the maintenance. The portrait set, over time, becomes the most honest record of growth a family will keep.
The Years
Emma Rose.
Live oak, 2026.
The plaque is set the year they are born. The tree does the rest — and every year, the photograph beside it tells you exactly how long you have loved them.
The first portrait is a sapling and a child who cannot yet reach the lowest branch. By grade school the canopy has closed over the marker. By the time she leaves for somewhere else, the trunk is wider than she is, and the whole record sits in one set of frames: the same tree, the same light, a life measured in growth instead of dates.
Nothing about it is complicated. A tree, a name in brass, and somebody who comes back every year to photograph it and take care of it. What accumulates is not landscaping. It is a record nobody else in this business is keeping.
The Investment
What it costs.
And where it goes.
Two parts, and no surprises. One payment to put the tree in the ground and see it through its first year — then a single charge each year on the planting anniversary, for as long as you want the record kept.

The Promise
We do not plant trees.
We plant time.
Because childhood deserves roots.
Begin Grow With Me™
Plant the first tree of a childhood.
Grow With Me™ begins with a conversation about who the property is for — and the milestones worth marking. We walk the property, then we site the first tree.
