Scapes Super Color

Grown to order with our growers nearly eight months out, then finished by hand at the Rain Lady Nursery before it ever reaches your property. Two crops a year — planted established, not planted and hoped for.

The Premise

Flowers worth waiting for.

There is a reason Scapes seasonal color looks different. It is not because we buy prettier flowers. It is because we do not buy flowers the way everyone else does.

Most companies wait until planting season, drive to the wholesaler, and load whatever happens to be available that week. Some of those plants have sat for months. Some are root-bound. Some are what was left after the rush. They get planted anyway, because that is what was on the truck.

Super Color™ begins nearly eight months before a single flower goes in your bed. Long before spring arrives or the holidays begin, we reserve entire production runs with our growers — grown for Scapes customers, not for the open market, not for the garden centers, and not from whatever inventory is left once everyone else has picked. Our flowers have a destination before the first seed is sown.

When the crop is ready it does not go straight into your beds. It comes home. Every tray is delivered to the Rain Lady Nursery, where we become the final grower — monitored daily, watered by hand, fed on the Root Juice™ program, spaced so each plant develops instead of stretching for light, rotated for even growth, and allowed to finish rooting in its container before it ever sees your property.

By install day these are not greenhouse plants anymore. They are Rain Lady plants — dense root ball, thicker foliage, fuller branching, blooms already beginning to perform. Instead of spending a month recovering from transplant shock, they start growing. Your landscape looks finished on day one, and better thirty days later.

Color does not live on color alone. Every install goes in over Super Mulch™, which shades the soil from the Texas sun, holds moisture, suppresses weeds, and feeds organic matter back down as it breaks. One feeds the plant. One protects the soil. Together they are the foundation under every bed we build.

From the Founder · J Core

Could we just buy flowers the week we need them?

Of course. It would save months of planning.

But easier has never been the Scapes standard.

Growing Super Color™ takes time. It takes greenhouse partners who believe in quality, months of forecasting, constant attention at the nursery, Root Juice™, Super Mulch™, and people who care enough to finish what nature started. The result is something you notice the moment you pull into the driveway — beds that do not just look planted. They look established. Alive. Confident.

The Crops

Only two crops. Done right.

We do not believe in swapping flowers all year. Two exceptional crops, each chosen for what Texas actually asks of it. Two change-outs, timed perfectly, planned months ahead. No guesswork. No scrambling for inventory. No settling for whatever happens to be available.

Spring & Summer
01

Installed as winter gives way.

Selected for intense color, relentless blooming, and the ability to perform through Houston heat and humidity. It carries the landscape through spring, summer, and into early fall — continuous color, when properly maintained.

Winter
02

Cut for the holidays and the cool.

As temperatures drop the whole landscape changes character. This crop is chosen for the holiday season and the months behind it — rich texture, vivid bloom, cool-season performance. Beautiful while most yards have already gone dormant.

Several varieties in each crop, chosen for the season they have to survive. And because it is grown to order — if you already know what you want, we can grow it.

The Rain Lady

Where it finishes.

Every tray comes home before it goes out. Weeks of hand-watering, spacing, and rooting on the studio property — the step almost nobody else takes.

The Promise

Color does not begin the day it is installed.
It begins eight months earlier.

Begin

Mark the season.

Two miraculous crops a year. Grown from seeds to beautiful plants. Nurtured and trained since conception for one purpose. Outperform everything. healthy, strong, durable, and above all. Colorful AF.
