Products · The Super Line™

Engineered for the
Gulf Coast.

The line that goes into every Scapes install — Super Dirt™, Super Mulch™, Super Color™, Super Grass™, and Super Soil Intelligence™, the read that points them all. Same blend used on the studio property, available beyond the gate.

The Premise

A product line, born on the job.

Every Scapes Super Line™ product was built because what was available off the lot would not hold up to the Texas Gulf Coast — alkaline soil, August heat, sixty inches of rain, sometimes in a week.

Super Dirt™ is the bed-establishment soil blend we install behind every Scapes planting. Super Mulch™ is the aged-hardwood top dress that feeds while it covers. Super Color™ is the seasonal annual rotation, hardened off. Super Grass™ is the cool-season overseed that keeps the lawn green through January. And Super Soil Intelligence™ is the read that comes first — the soil report that tells the other four exactly what each property is short on.

The product line is the receipt of twenty-six years of building on this coast.

From the Founder · J Core

We got tired of looking for products that didn't exist. So we started making them.

The Super Line™ wasn't dreamed up in a marketing meeting. It came from years in the field, running into the same problem: we knew what the landscape needed, but what was available wasn't always good enough.

So we built our own.

Soil. Mulch. Grass. Nutrition. Growing methods. The systems behind them. Each started with a problem we wanted solved better, then we worked backward until we had the answer we wanted to put our name behind.

And we're nowhere near finished. Some of what comes next will be products. Some will be better systems, smarter diagnostics and technology. Eventually, some of the hands doing the work beside us may be robotic.

That's how I believe a creative company should operate. Don't spend your time complaining about what isn't available. Make it available.

If the landscape needs it and we can't find it, we'll figure out how to build it.

The Five

Five products.

Four you can hold, one that reads the ground first. Each engineered for the Gulf Coast, used on every Scapes install.

Super Dirt™

The bed-establishment blend.

Compost, screened topsoil, expanded shale, slow-release organic feed. The blend that goes under every Scapes planting. Available by the cubic yard, delivered. Inside Super Dirt™ →

Super Mulch™

Aged hardwood. Two inches.

Double-shred hardwood, aged twelve months, screened. No dye. No bark filler. The top-dress on every Scapes bed. By the cubic yard, applied. Inside Super Mulch™ →

Super Color™

Greenhouse-hardened annuals.

Two-rotation annual color from the Rain Lady Nursery — pansies, snapdragons, dianthus, vinca, pentas, ornamental cabbage, kale. Graded for the bed. Inside Super Color™ →

Super Grass™

The cool-season overseed.

A perennial-rye-based overseed for warm-season lawns. Goes in mid-November. Holds green through January. Tapers cleanly when warm-season grass returns. Inside Super Grass™ →

Super Soil Intelligence™

Where the line begins.

We read the ground — a Soil Intelligence™ report that scores conditions, finds the deficiencies, and tells the other four exactly what this property is short on. It's the brain of the Super Line™, and the front end of the Root Juice™ nutrition program. Inside Root Juice™ →

Soil Intelligence™

A deep dive below the surface.

Available as a Scapes Exclusive.

Most lawn programs begin with a product. Super Soil Intelligence™ begins with evidence.

This is our most comprehensive look into the ground beneath your landscape—a labor-intensive investigation into soil chemistry, biology, structure, nutrient availability, and the conditions influencing how effectively turf can use water and nutrition.

Think of it less like a routine blood test and more like advanced diagnostics. We aren't simply asking whether the soil needs fertilizer. We're trying to understand how the soil is functioning as a living system.

That intelligence allows us to identify deficiencies, imbalances, and limitations that aren't visible from the surface, then build a Root Juice™ nutrition strategy around what your ground actually needs—not a generic schedule and certainly not whatever happens to be on sale.

For the discerning property owner, it replaces guesswork with a baseline. For the arborist, horticulturist, or soil nerd at heart, it's a look into the biology responsible for everything growing above it.

The objective is simple: give turf exactly what it needs to overperform while asking less of water, fertilizer, and intervention. Deeper roots. Better nutrient efficiency. Greater resilience through heat, drought, disease pressure, and Houston's extremes.

A relatively small investment to understand the most important part of your landscape—the part you can't see.
