Most landscape work is fragmented — a designer who hands off to a builder, a builder who hands off to a maintenance crew, an irrigation contractor who never meets the foreman. By the time the property is photographed, no one is accountable for the whole.
Scapes is a single studio. The designer who draws the line is reachable about it for as long as it is in the ground. The crew who built the wall is the crew who maintains it. The arborist who sited the tree is the arborist who comes back at month four and month ten.
That is what we mean by environmental design. Not landscaping. Not lawn care. Not curb appeal. A continuous environment, owned end-to-end, by the people whose name is on the truck.

Anybody can be great for a day. The work is showing up in February, when the beds are cut back and the yard is asleep and nobody is watching, and doing it right anyway.
Design it, build it, grow it, care for it. When the same crew that set the stone comes back to prune what grew around it, you cannot hide a shortcut — not from the client, and not from yourself.
